With the aid of the guiding light, follow the ledges back down to the bottom level, scramble up another power plate, and quickly climb to the next switch before the Prince runs out of oxygen for his brain. However, once the Prince lands his butt on the first switch, the lower portions of the entire chamber will become flooded with the alchemist's fun gas. To call down the elevator, the heroes have to use the four power plates, one by one, to climb to the wooden ledges (which are pressure switch plates).
The later sections of the obstacle course here may be more elaborate than usual, but they're nothing to fear as long as the heroes remember to use the guiding light. Don't forget to use cooperative jumps to boost the Prince's leaps. Then, return to the platform with the longest beam, and rotate it so that beam points toward the fertile ground. Next, jump to the metal-cornered platform, and revolve the platforms until the one with the longest beam is closest to the fertile ground. The crank on the platform with the metal corners revolves the actual locations of all the platforms, while the other cranks merely rotate the platforms in place.Īs a general rule, first get on the platform with the longest beam, and turn it so that beam faces the metal-cornered platform. The goal is to maneuver the four platforms so the heroes can use the platform with the longest beam to reach the fertile ground. This area has a set of puzzles involving cranks and spinning platforms. Bash the alchemist, and then heal the fertile ground. Follow the tutorials for the advanced climbing moves here, and follow the guiding light to reach the fertile ground. This is the gateway area into the region of The Vale, and it is one of the first four areas whose fertile grounds can be reached without activating any power plates.
